Hate Crew Deathroll review online...

well you say that they are not being original.... personally I view this album as a new mark in their progression as a metal band.... not thats its not original but its shows they are moving in a different direction from their neo classical root... get where im comin from?
 
That guy who wrote the review is a fuckin moron saying that FTR was a medi oker album and that the band has not progressed that much. That's bullshit. I think every COB album that has come out sounds totally different. I hate fuckin cridicts.:mad:

I think there is a difference between progressing and being original though. I did say that the band have progressed a bit, and especially in the fact that they have moved away from their neo classical-isms. I just think overall it doesn't sound THAT much different...it's still very much a typical Children of Bodom album, but a good one at that.

'Hatebreeder' is my fave, but SW and now the new one aren't that far behind.

I think I need to try and clear up what I meant by the whole progression thing...what I'm trying to say is, that whilst they have done a few new things, it hasn't made a huge impact on their sound overall...they still sound very much like the same band that recorded 'Hatebreeder'...I think there is only so much you can do with a sound like Children Of Bodom's. There aren't many bands that sound like CoB, so they do have that advantage, but there is always the danger of becoming a self-parody.
 
Good review but I think that you are a liiiittle bit prejudiced with CoB. In 2-3 weeks I'll have the album so I can say if my opinion is the same with yours. About the "funny" titles now: As we talked about some of 'em in an other topic we found that they are more interesting than simply funny words' make-ups. Alexi said too that the title are humorus, so you can't flame him for this.
 
I don't know but with the with your writing style and this "semi-erroneus" review I concluded that oyu are prejudiced. I'm not so sure though. You can't know the feeling of the other by reading a text.:)

DUDE!!! I respect your opinion i just don't know how you can say that COB hasn't progressed and how their stuff is not original. I mean if you took a song from HCDR and put it on SW or HB it would sound out of place because of how much COB's sound has progressed.
