its a cool artistic movie that have as the vhs/dvd-cover the same image of sounds of decay cd-front cover. Seems that Katatonia had an inspiration on that movie.

I am happy that someone else has seen this flick, it is horribly wierd. I had started a thread about this in late may. I talked to Anders about Begotten when I saw him in June and he said that they had watched enough of it to get the feeling of it. To watch that movie in its entirety is an arduous task.

I rented it a few weeks ago, but only watched the first 30 minutes or so. I meant to watch the whole thing before I had to return it, but I never got the chance. But the next week or so will be pretty slow for me, and I'm thinking about renting it again and watching the whole thing. Would you say it's worth my time to do so?

I own the DVD and I think I have only watched it all the way through once. I think that there is probably a far deeper meaning to the movie than I could comprehend without watching it 10 or so times. The imagery is not as good after the first 30 min. of it. I usually play it in the background when I am having people over, I find it a great film to have people see little parts of than to try to watch as a whole. I couldnt say it would be a waste of your time but I dont think the rest of the movie will blow your mind or nothin. Its basically lifecycle stuff, death and birth and death, alot of torturous stuff as well. I would be interested to see what you think about the movie since I always like your opinions on things.
