Have You Heard These Bands

I have two of Countess's albums, The Book of the Heretic and Heilig Vuur...I really don't see anything great about Book...but Heilig Vuur is quite good.

Fluisterwoud are pretty as well. Brutal but not silly, as one person said. Manages to have atmosphere and agression at the same time.

That would be me. I like it because it sounds like Marduk, but then I think of how much Marduk blows, and I'm thankful that a band decided to release an album that has the true BM feel, but doesn't stop to be pretentous or minimalistic.

Ad Noctem / Haemoth - Raw French black.
Alastor - Old school speed/thrash from Portugal.
Ammit - No fucking clue.
Amon - Fast Czech old school black...one of the oldest bands.
Anael - Speed/thrash *Don't quote me on that*
Countess - Brilliance
Fluisterwoud - Members of Galgeras...typical old school black.
Gravewürm - Raw speed/thrash *Don't quote me on that*
Maniac Butcher - Fast raw Czech black
Megiddo - Raw Canadian black/thrash in Darkthrone/Burzum vein with old school thrash leanings.
Sin Origin - No fucking clue.

It's good, but I agree - overrated. 2 or 3 of the tracks are excellent, the others are just decent.

Countess is good atmospheric black metal. Alastor is very thrashy black metal, or blackened thrash. They are not for everyone, but I like them.
