Have you heard these guys, NAD?

Garm is the vocalist, but the band reminds me of a mixture of Faith No More, Tool, and Alice In Chains. However, the band is DEFINITELY doing their own thing. VERY good stuff. Quite complex (in the way Tool or Faith No More is complex). I've only heard it once, but I can already tell this will be one that reveals itself over many listens.

Since I've only listened to the CD once, I just chose the first three songs for your listening pleasure.

Circus Peebone thinks this album sucks, so don't listen to him. He was hoping for campfire songs or something.:zombie:

Holy shit this sucks.

The songs are very "unstructured", I guess. After another listen, I'm split between "Is this really good?", or "Is every song undeveloped?".

I can't let Circus Peebone be right on this. I'll listen more before making a decision.

For the record, I don't think it sucks, but I don't think it's very good. Also, I can't figure out why everyone likes it, judging by the reactions in the lash-out section of my review at MR.

I downloaded this album a few weeks ago, haven't heard it yet.

I listened to the one sample song a few months back though, several times, and it went from suck to suuuuuuuuuuuck.

However, I'm open to be swayed, and will give it a proper listen eventually. I mean, it's Trickster G and shit, it's at least with a few hours of my time.

This is definitely an album that grows on you, I've had it for over a month, and I'm still hearing stuff when I listen that I hadn't noticed before. That always makes for a worthwhile listen IMO.

I'm really hoping this is what will happen.

I'm torn between this being kinda decent and horrid. I think there's too much of the chugga chugga guitar.

Same here, this has yet to make a positive impression on me, the first track starts off promising but gets sabotaged by some dumbassed guitar sounds, and Garm doesn't sound too inspired either, as if he has no idea how to apply his voice for the material...

I bought this album a few years later, listened once or twice, still thought it sucked. Because it sounded bad.

Dusted it off today and holy fuck! This is great! Why the hell it had to age is beyond me, it's not exactly deep.

I mean, it's pretty much if Blood Inside was a 30 Seconds to Mars album. Yeah, I threw up a little, but it works.
