Hellhammer vs. George Kollias

Hellhammer.

I did not know who George Kollias was until someone said he was from Nile and I can't recall the persons style sound and playing.

Krig, I find it very hard to beleive you have never heard an album or a song with HellHammer on drums. He has played for like 45,000 bands.

Hellhammer (Jan Axel Blomberg) - Drums (1988-) (ex-Antestor, Arcturus (Nor), Carnivora, ex-Covenant (Nor), ex-Jørn, Dimmu Borgir, Mezzerschmitt, ex-Mortem (Nor), ex-Shining (Swe), ex-The Kovenant, Thorns, Troll, ex-Vidsyn, Winds (Nor), Tritonus, Age of Silence)

nope, none of those. meh. whatever

kollias is superior, both in technicality and groove.

Psh, you're just a fanboi. Hellhammer is clearly better in every way.

You've never heard De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas? And if you saw Dimmu live then you HAVE heard Hellhammer.

I have to go with Hellhammer. After seeing him live (with my jaw on the ground the whole time), I have to say that he's one of the most amazing drummers I've seen.
Hellhammer for the win.
Seen Dimmu a few months back and he blew me away. Couldnt believe there was a drum solo too:kickass:
But I think it comes down to whichever band you like most and that will decide which drummer is better in your eyes.

never heard it :erk:
when did he join Dimmu? Its been a couple years since I saw them

Ah.... I thought you saw them recently. My mistake. In which case you must have seen Dimmu with another drummer.
Yes I highly recommend DMDS... an excellent BM album, despite Attila's bad vocals.
