I'm catching the 'Weenie boys in San Antone on the 23rd. Anyone catching them before that. Looking at the setlist from some of their recent euro shows and I'm interested to see what the American set list is like?

Anyone?

Hey nightwish...this was a setlist from 11/03 in Swedien, I think. Originally, it struck me as odd to see a lot of really old material, but then I thought, well of course they'll rotate through their whole history for their fans. But what about the US...will they "dumb it down" so to speak. Seeing as how they've never really had any "hits" here, I am hoping to get an equally accurate representation. Also intersting to note...very little off Rabbits...hehe

Starlight
Murderer
Keeper of the Seven Keys
Futureworld
Eagle Fly Free
Hey Lord
Forever and One
Open your Life
Dr. Stein
If I Could Fly
Back Against the Wall
Power
Soul Survivor
I Can
Where the Rain Grows
Sun 4 the World (encore)
How Many Tears (encore)

Anyway...I would be interested to know what their initial setlist is for their first few shows.

Rock on!

Hey Ashaman, me and my friends are taking the 6 hour drive to San Antonio as well from Midland. I have been waiting eight years of my life for this and it's gonna be here in less than 10 days. HAve you already got your tix? From my understanding you can only get them from the venue so were gonna get there a day early and get em then. I mean shit, Deicide didnt sell out at the White Rabbit back on Halloween so I really doubt Helloween will sell out, but Im always paranoid. I WILL see Helloween.

Ben

I agree, it will be very interesting to see what kind of crowd turns out for Helloween in San Antonio. There are a lot of closet metalheads there, but maybe not enough to make a difference. As I write this, I'm thinking back to the Anthrax show in May of last year...pretty pathetic turnout.

You can get tickets through Ticketmaster...I snatched mine up the minute they went on sale.

See you there!

I will be catching them here in Houston on the 22nd @ Engine Room! Looking forward to the show local favorites MAGISTRAL are one of the opening bands! Should be a great show! :Spin:

Robin and I will be as well. (along with 4 friends of ours)

the local opening acts they have at the masquerade are both really good too (Manic and Halcyon Way), so all in all i'm REALLY psyched for this show.

Ryan

Wow. Looks like I'll most likely end up making this trip solo due to one of my friends not having the money and another just being a bitch and getting a vasectomy at age 20 rather than see Helloween. Where on ticketmaster did you get tix? I tried it but it just siad the venue info and said cash only.

Thanks

Ben

I like Andi singing his own material from Master of the Rings and on their last album was so great why have a set list that 40% of the songs are from the old Helloween era which was great but with their own people (Kiske and Kai), Andi doing starlight and kiske songs that is not fear for him as a singer. Andi has his own style which I respect but he can't sing any Kiske songs.

DAYBREAKER -- Vasectomy at age 20, huh? Don't even wanna know...

Anyway...look up Helloween on Ticketmaster and hit "Find Tickets" next to the White Rabbit show...just tried it...they're still selling...not sure what problems you had, but hope that helps. We'll see you at the show...Doc & Kat

YTSE, NIGHTWISH -- How was the show? Setlist? Any words of wisdom for the faithful who have yet to partake?

Rock on!

Both shows were phenomenal. The setlist was the same as the first leg, with two minor exceptions. At the first show, they yanked "I Can". At the Long Island show last night, they yanked "I Can" as well as "Sole Survivor".

Words of wisdom..

Get there early. Get up front. Tell them to bring a solid European support act next tour!!

Well, looks like I'm going to the Dallas show instead. The guy that used to run the black metal store here is going to Dallas cos he doesnt know San Antonio and I dont really want to risk my old ass truck on the drive. Ah well. As for the guy whos getting snipped, yea you dont want to know much about him, all I'll say is that Japanese culture is evil and full of influential crossdressing weird people that for some reason fat white guys in the US feel the need to emulate, if you get my drift.

Also, WHY is Just a Little Sign not being played? That song is one of their strongest in years and their single, to not play it is just stupid, hell it's even the perfect opener! Why some bands neglect their best songs is beyond me.

Ben

I totally agree!!! What the hell? What's the point of a single then. To me it was to get people interested in the band and excited about seeing them live. Do bands figure that people hear enough of the single elsewhere so playing it live would be silly? ARRGGHH! Whatever, I'll be there Tuesday in Atlanta with fingers crossed...

I'll be at the show next Monday in Hollywood........hope to see some of you there.... Sounds like the same set list but who cares, its Helloween!! Next up is Maiden on the 31st!!!!

After a last minute change of plans...I'll be at the Atlanta show tonight! Would be cool to run into any of you locals.

BTW--I haven't been to a show at the Masquerade before. Do they usually run on time? I'm assuming Helloween will hit the stage around 11-11:30.

:Smokin:

Nevermind about the question...I got of my ass and called the Masquerade and found out Helloween hits the stage about 10pm.

Still, it would be cool to meet some other forum members at the show...I'll be the sleepy-looking 30-something with a Dos Equis in one hand and a cigarette in the other!
:Smokin:

Just saw them in VA the other night. Well, about ten minutes of them before I was bored off my behind and went back to the lobby to drink, socialize, and terrorize...
