Schecter sent that thing to Loomis, so I've played with it at his house. Neither of us are quite into 8-strings, although it's very nicely built! I just don't know how to approach it or what what kind of music to write on an 8-string, unless it's just a straight Meshuggah rip-off!

I don't really know what to say, besides that I'm truly blessed to be friends with Jeff. When I first met him it took a bit of time to get over the feeling of "HOLY CRAP IT'S JEFF LOOMIS", and although I still hold him in extremely high esteem, now he's really just another one of my friends! A friend who's pretty good at the guitar, haha. He's actually pretty good at baseball too!

Exactly....if you play a 8 string you're gonna sound so "meshuggah" and really boring.
And if you have these guitars, you're forced to play always low in a subtle way
