Hey,
Any idea/ direction on micing for getting a quite similar guitar tone? it sounds like far micing, but has that clarity of close micing, scooped maybe, but seems to have a nasy peak in the mids maybe,, not sure whats the direction...

well less about amps and guitar.. i am quite sure its an ENGL savage.. but more about micing.. it doesnt sounds like a 57 i think.. maybe a ribbon? or maybe dual micing.. not sure

I always thought hearts on fire was a recto, probably not though. There are stems available of this track, they were released for a competition. Fredman mic it and see what happens - I guess theres some room in there though.

I tried to google it.. where were they published?

wow bro you rock!!

Amazing.. its full of chorus effects.. really wierd stuff.. it sounds also like the close micing is hardly EQed to remove all the fizz and the 200 HZ out of it.. am i right?

i can swear the room mic has chorus on it while the close one dont have though.

p.s who do i need to pay to get also a lead guitar track?
