Help with Toms?

Hey everyone. I am trying to achieve a Tom sound that sounds like this...



Listen to 2:06, Thats what I want to achieve, But I cant seem to get it. Can anyone help me out?

Sneap's Chimaira samples have never failed me, even raw. You should be able to get a similar sound out of them.

Just want to poke my head in and say no matter how long I've been at it, I HATE mixing toms.

I love mixing toms. If you're dealing with real toms its all about the source. Tuning, mic and so on. Don't be afraid to use a lot of eq'ing, especially in the low mids and mids. Cut by hand i f you dont like the bleed (in some Genres it's desired).
