Embrace the Fool is the debut of Poets to their Beloved, a German/Dutch duo consisting of Saskia Dommisse and Marcel Schiborr. This first opus gathers thirteen songs, written over a four year period that followed since the duo's first meeting. Actually, they met each other at a workshop of Brendan Perry (Dead Can Dance). Since both Saskia and Marcel are obviously influenced by DCD musically you can trace some influences of this act. This does not mean that it is a clone; Poets to their Beloved manage to create and obtain an own style from beginning to the end of this album. Musically this album touches different genres and can be regarded as a mixture of neo folk, ritual and ethereal elements. With the usage of acoustic guitars, cello, violin, bass and the beautiful voice of Saskia and Marcel they manage to set a romantic atmosphere.

The exotic Mediterranean fragrance of sensual percussion patterns, together with the low rumble of Francesco’s double bass and the soft keyboard pads enriched by the work of violinists Domenico Mancini and Alessandro Pensa, set the appropriate nocturnal atmosphere for Alessandra’s soaring voice to cast its spell - although Hexperos often brings to mind her past in Gothica, it is also obvious that her work has now reached a more mature stage.

Comsat Angels were a post-punk band from Sheffield, England, active from 1978 to 1995. They are credited with creating atmospheric and delicate, yet viscerally urgent, music which flew under the radar of popular culture. Their oeuvre is generally cited alongside those of Joy Division, The Chameleons, The Cure, The Sound, and Echo & the Bunnymen.
They toured heavily in their native U.K. and in western Europe, but rarely in the United States. Their influence can be discerned in acts such as Catherine Wheel and Kitchens of Distinction, and '00s Post-punk revival bands such as Interpol, Engineers and Editors.
Their music has been extensively reissued and recompiled since 1995 by various record labels, but the band has not reformed.
