the WEE is a dipthong in a sense, it's one syllable.

"Øy" sounds like "Oui" in French, but with more emphasis on the "U" than the "WEE".

Yep, but people from Øysteins city ( like me :heh: ) would pronounce it a bit different, 'cus we have a rather special dialect :Smug: Oh and Ø is essentially OE if one does not have the Ø at one's disposal :kickass:
