I've been wanting to post this thread question....it's a thinker.

Not considering your favorite, or what you think is the best,
here's the question...........

For EACH SymX band member, which ONE SONG would you pick that you feel represents each guy's individual talent and style the most?

My choices are coming later, still thinking about it.

MJR......
M. LEPOND.....
M. PINELLA......
JASON.....

I would also like to hear what the guys would choose.
Did they ever mention this in an interview ??

 

[Manga-San]

Russ-Candelight Fantasia (Lots of stuff that goes really high)
MJR-The Odyssey (This was tough, but he produced and wrote most of the sounds found)
Lepond-Egypt (The solo. If you asked about Miller, then it would be Sea of Lies)
Pinella-Awakenings (The piano stuff towards the end is spectacular)
Jason-The Death of Balance/Lacrimosia (No explanation needed)

I agree with Manga about LePond, Pinella, and Rullo.
Russ- Wicked or Divine Wings
Romeo- I can't decide for now, but he does do most of the writing, so what song doesn't capture his style and talent? I'll think of something later.

Romeo: Communion And The Oracle (hey, it contains my favorite solo of his!)

Russell: Either Awakenings or The Edge Of Forever for emotional singing. The last 4 songs on V are also pretty demanding to sing (excluding the segue of course)
Romeo: On the guitar playing side of things ''Sea Of Lies'' as a musician overall I would say The Odyssey
Lepond: Egypt
Pinella: Rediscovery part 2, but Awakenings isn't far behind
Rullo: I think this one is pretty obvious

RUSS......Awakenings because of the diversity in this one song. But
Candlelight is a tough song to sing, shows his range so well.
MJR......I agree with Ultimate_Symphony but my kids say DWOT.

JASON.....The Death of Balance - Lacrymosa

Hey Pharoah, I would so love to be in your family! It would be so cool to have my mum and dad have a debate about prog - I'm getting really tired of my dad calling it "hellicopter music" GEEZ! I'm glad I haven't showed him any power metal how it IS hellicopter music.
