Hey Doomcifer...

I'll tell you what I REALLY want to get. I wanna get that All Souls Day CD in the worst way. WHERE THE FUCK CAN I FIND IT!? I heard a couple songs and my nipples got hard.

EDIT: still @ work for another hour.

Okay, at first I was like WTF?!:hypno: because it was totally unexpected. After that, I really started to enjoy it. Wtf is he saying? and why do you ask? :)

Is this some old tune that some band might have re-invented that I should know? Is this Greek?

Yes. The singer is called Nikos Xilouris, he is Greek (Cretan in particular). He is really "legendary" here (he died back in late 70s, or early 80s cant remember now). The song is not totally traditional greek folk music, but has elements from different greek areas' folk music. It was composed in the 60s but released near 1974. I just posted since i saw how you liked Socrates Drank The Conium, and i thought you have to be introduced to some of their influences.

Oh and if you get ur hands into the All Souls' Day album you will cut your wrists man. Its PERFECT, ITS INCREDIBLE . PERFECT DOOM METAL. Solitude Aeturnus WISH they will release an album like that now.

I'm trying like hell. I'll have it soon enough.

Have you heard the new Solitude Aeternus song? I thought it sucked, to be honest. :(

He has lots of similar stuff, it all depends with the composer he was working with. I mean he has some really epic and dramatic songs, and some songs to dance in weddings.. you know.
Maybe the last chance for All Souls' Day is www.eatmetalrecords.com .. if they still have copies. I cant believe that noone sells this gem.
You know there are other greek progressive bands from the 70s that rule as much as Socrates did. For example Aphrodite's Child. Not guitar based as Socrates, but their "666" album is a M-A-S-T-E-R-P-I-E-C-E, you will like it a LOT. And i think its not hard to find.
