Georgie operates perfectly within his rights as to the collective CBA. I wouldn't disagree with a salary cap, provided there was both a maximum AND a minimum (similar to what hockey just did).

While many will scoff at the teams who spend north of $100 million (the Yankees are far from alone here), I'm of the opinion that the shitheads who own teams like Tampa, Minnesota, KC, etc. are much much more detrimental to the game, because they don't even try to put a competitive product on the field that might actually draw attendance.
