HOLY CRAP - HEATHEN CRUSADE METALFEST

If money wasn't an option, I bet everyone on this forum would go! That lineup beats most festivals. That right there is the ProgPower III of pagan metal.

I do understand the money part, I know it's tough - but damn, if there ever was an exception to the rule of not throwing caution to the wind, this is it! Hell, I'm recently unemployed and I have no intention on canceling my plans.

Ali, you think the flights will be that expensive? I'm thinking that BECAUSE of the season, flights might drop in price a bit, and we would get the Saturday stayover, so...

I have to find a way to make it to this, I can't miss Thyrfing in the United States, I just can't.

Jeff, quit being a fag.

If I can go, you have to. It's like, a rule or something.
Let me check the RC Rulebook.

If this stupid Vegas trip in December for a friends' wedding didn't cost so much, I might've had the cash to go to this festival.

Here's the solution; don't give your friend a wedding gift and sell all of your Bathory CDs to Erik for beer money.:loco:

Zod

Zod, don't forget to get me an Amon Amarth ticket for Philly, I'm 100% coming. I'll take a half-day, drive to your place, hit up the strip club, drink beers, then we'll head down to Jason's and go rock. :headbang:

Cool - now I just need to get some furniture since my ex took off with the sofa bed that was originally a gift to me. Grrr......

$250 for the flight is pretty f'ing good. Not like the $400 or $500 prices we were looking at before right Jason? And that was before the hotel.

Very tempting.

JK, definitely go for it man, ESPECIALLY if you can fly from Newark in January. It's a promotional sale fare on www.nwa.com and the flights are direct from Newark to Minneapolis/St. Paul. Who knows how long the sale fares will last so I jumped on it today.

I also booked a room at the official hotel of the festival (the Courtyard Mariott in Roseville, MN, about 3-4 miles from the venue). Got two queen beds and can probably get a cot if needed as well.

EDIT - I also purchased the optional insurance for my plane ticket. It was only $12 extra!! If you need to cancel at anytime, you can get a full refund and only be out the $12. I jumped on that one too.

Jason, is that the closest hotel, the one that's like $79/night or something?

It's the second closest, and the one where all the bands will be staying at apparently. Yep, $79/night was the price I got when I called.

The first closest is a place called the Livinn Suites and it's about 1.5 miles away from the venue. I checked it out and for a room that can hold at least 3 people the rate was like $114 a night. Plus, I rented a car from the airport, so I said the hell with it and booked my room at the official festival hotel. :headbang:
