Hi guys, I hope this is the right section to post this.

I have a very very bad live recording (of course, death metal) but I need to pull out the best I can, because we have a nice video take of the show, and would be unpleasant to mount it on a so bad audio... I have just 2 tracks: the first one for the voice (mid range scream), and the second with all the rest.

I can "mix" the tracks with logic pro 8 under your suggestions, or you can directly download a sample (with already some "effects" on: eq+comp+ delay on voice, etc) here:

and mp3 (smaller) too:

any suggestions?
if someone of you can "mix" all the tracks (about 40min) I can send him/her the both tracks without effects.. and, if needed, please send us an estimated budget to do that. Obviously, we do NOT need a great live mix, that's impossibile, we just want to pull out the best as possible from this horrible recording to upload it on youtube. And if you do this for us, I'll be sending to you our studio album worldwide with our infinite thankfulness! XD

thanks

Not really much you can do with the music to be honest. Seems very reverby. All I can suggest is slicing up the vocals and taking out the gaps between vocals. Minimum verb/delay effects on the vocals then to prevent it sounding weird when it comes in, use just enough for it to sit into the music without it sounding weird.
There really isn't much you can do with the music

thanks both even just for spending time in listening!

here is the same sample with no fx:

EDIT important: the voice track is MONO, the second track is STEREO recorded with x-y configuration of a boss portable recorder! sorry for the mistake. we should have a multitrack live rec, but we had troubles with the audio system and we could not.

Lost cause :( Kind of like asking "can I turn these apples into oranges?"

The only thing that comes to my mind that could save it is recording again everything except the vocals and programming the drums to the recorded drums

I opened this thread desperately looking for someone with such as a "magic stick" that could avoid this, but I knew it was a mission impossible!!

so thanks all just for listening guys, we are probably going to cut everything is lower than 600Hz, drawing kick, snare and toms and re-record bass and guitars of one ore maybe two songs, just to save the video take

thanks again, maybe I will be posting again for some suggestion about doing what I wrote, bye!
