i don;t see too mnay posts about old school thrash metal or speed metal. Best thing about those bands and bands liek sacred reich and nuclear assault back than compared to a lot of metal i hear today is they were wicked talented musically and were straightforward in their writing approaches where as alot of newer bands i feel lack that focus that made all that old school stuff so much better. I am all for experimentation and pushing boundaries but alot of these bands don't write songs now they write parts like the dillinger escape plan for example and just throw them together. All hail the old school and bands like desaster and atomizer and avenger etdc. that are keeping the flame of thrash/death metal alive!
