How do I rip watershed DVD's bonus tracks in flac, to listen on ipod?

I can only suggest you to rip it to mp3 using Lame encoder at high quality settings.
I don't see the point in listening to FLAC audio on an iPod, since the sound quality of an iPod isn't exactly the same as a Bang&Olufsen system.
Actually I don't think the difference would be noticeable.

It also depends on what headphones you use. I can definitely hear a difference between the mp3 rip I did in 192 kbps and the flac. But then again 192 is not an extremely high bitrate. But I usually prefer ogg vorbis. It tends to sound better than an mp3 of the same file size so I'm gonna try that next.

I found the songs in decent quality in a couple of torrents over on Mininova, saves you the hassle of, well, all of the above really, and only takes about half an hour to download. Got Mellotron Heart on there as well.:)

 what? What does that mean? My suggestion kicks ass. What's wrong with downloading something you've already paid for? Fuck all, thats who...

Is there a method for extracting the three bonus tracks from the Watershed DVD? I would like to save them to a hard drive.

Google: DVD Audio Extractor. It's pretty easy. What you want is in title 3. Supremely bad idea putting the bonus tracks on the DVD. Someone made a bad decision.

I really like Den Standiga Resan!
I have the Special Edition of Watershed the 2nd cd is a cd/dvd format.
Is there anyway I can get the songs off of it and on to my iPod or am I stuck with playing it as a dvd and choosing the bonus tracks title?

Well a good but long-winded way would be:

Rip the DVD using DVD Fab or similar software (free trial)
Extract the audio using Jodix video mp3 extractor (free trial/free)
Split the tracks (if neccessary) using MP3 splitter and Joiner Pro (free trial)

Could that not be done for getting high quality audio from Lamentations?
I'm aware that the audio seems to suck when others have tried other means...

It really was odd they put the tracks only on the dvd. It just caused annoyance, confusion and piracy. At around 71 minutes the Special edition disc 1 could have held all the audio.

I used something called DVD Audio Extractor to rip the bonus tracks from my Special edition DVD and put them on my iPod :)
it encodes directly from DVD to mp3, with the selected bitrate quality of your choice :)

i just let the songs play on PC and recorded them in wave stereo cd quality with audacity.
then i burned a cd-r with watershed + 3 bonustracks.

I used DVD Encrypter to rip the audio stream into one file.
I then used Goldwave to split the tracks and create .wav files for each song.
Once you have the individual .wav files, you can convert them to .mp3 or .flac or .wma or whatever.

I found this method on the web. I won't post the link here but you should be able to google it. Type "rip audio using DVD decrypter" and look at the second item that comes up. It should talk about Goldwave and DVD Decrypter. It is really easy to do and I believe all the software is freeware. Goldwave has a trial version that you can use.

I did this for the bonus tracks on Watershed and for Lamentations. It worked out pretty nice. Now I have lossless files that I can listen to whenever I want without screwing around with the DVD.

I was annoyed at it too, but I don't think they should have been put on the album. Watershed had a great flow, and I don't see where they would fit in. And having them all at the end would kind of ruin the identity of Watershed as an album. They're great songs, but they're bonus tracks/b-sides, they should be separated.

Annoying to rip them, but I think they made the right call when they had another disc to play with.

i know this has been discussed before but how do i get the 3 bonus tracks off the watershed dvd onto my computer?
