I have been trying that in cubase 5 but i cant figure it out..

I could have a couple of empty mesures behind each part to put the left flag there but im thinking there has to be an easier way?.. and its not very practical (for quick playback check etc)

If only there was a seperate set of flags for loop and one for punch ins and out, but im sure im missing out something. (sorry for the noobness)

Also im trying to do that for vocal recording as i think it would be a good way for him to lay down the same part many times, staying in the mood without interruption, do you guys do it that way or choose another approach?

Is not easier just soloing the tracks you need and set the loop parameters to 1 or 2 bars earlier? Then just manually cutting the excess audio off? Thats what i do.

thanks man! thats cool but a bit annoying when the part i am recording is at a different tempo which happens often so if it starts a bar or to previous to the part im aiming for then when the actually part kicks in that could be annoying with the tempo change.

In the case of vocals though i think you are right could work. mm.. ill try it

thanks bro
