When I heard Nightwish I thought I was going to vomit. I thought that about Hammerfall once too and thier vocalist sounds more like a chick than most chicks. Sooooo, I my as well check on Nightwish again to see my tastes have changed.

it is'nt youst that i dislike Nightwish. I dislike all power metal. and heavy metal.
it is a good intruduction to (real) metal hovewer. just don't get stuck in it.

i cannot disagree ...kimberly goss is a mutt in the good looks stakes.

tarja in nightwish aint a beauty either...but those cans she has are just maginificent !!one thing she has in common with goss is imho superlative vocal ability though.

its refreshing to read posts form members saying just how awesome they are, i had half expected folks to slate nightwish in favour of some shite along the lines of bands with names like "stinking fart" or "decay faeces"..........sort of a la death metal bullshit.

I really like Nightwish and I am trying to find some similar bands. Tarja is an amazing singer and their songs are really emotional, IMHO. I think Oceanborn is their best album.
