Auburn is a 1/2 hour from Syracuse (also big metal scene there). We have had Cannae come through, If Hope Dies are from here, Manowar are also native to Auburn, we also have had It Dies Today come through, um.... I know there are others. Our scene is primarilly (although not myself) strait edge hardcore. I am pretty sure that video that I posted was some sort of strait edge fest.

I fucking hate straight edge hardcore emo whatever... lol.

I get all those bands confused with one another anyways, etc etc.

Man... if NY turned out like that... I guess Im glad I left after all.

a year or two ago there were a lot of bands kicking ass around here, since they've all gotten totally different line-ups or split up (my own band has been outta commission for nearly a year searching for a singer)

there seems to be a lot of great musicians around here, who just can't find the right people to jam with...i can't say i really know how things are now tho, there are a lot of 'new' bands i've not heard as i just don't have the time to get out to shows etc. like i used to

Dunno really... the whole scene I always thought was uber gay. On top of that, I've always been more of a thrash fan anyways... so, I prefer the asskicking and technicality... and only dig the slow parts as breakdowns or the occasional breather track, rather than the whole album be played at that particular tempo.

However, if/when I DO listen to hardcore-ish type stuff... its Diecast, Biohazard, All That Remains, Madball, Sick of it All... you know - but NOT the screamo hardcore It Dies Today stuff... that's just like... super annoying, lol
