...and how much time do you ACTUALLY spend on the internet each day

the ratio for me is fucking terrible

i'm done with facebook and rc forum and a couple other news sites and blogs i like to check in like 10-15 minutes, after that it's just hours upon hours of reading about shit no one in their right mind should ever care about. ugh. why is this

Email and thats pretty much it.
I do lurk here alot to see what you fuckers are up to.
I have no Facebooks, no Myspaces, no Twitters, no Foursquares, none of that chick stuff
Aside from cat videos and porn theres just not that much on the internet. I have yet to understand how people can spend their entire day "wired in" as they humorously put it in *The Social Network*

I'm more or less active on three forums including this one, so that's where I'll spend most of my Internet time. I'd say I spend about 30-45 minutes a day perusing message boards and posting some shit of my own, another 30 minutes on e-mails whenever I have friends, and then maybe 1 hour on other stuff, most of it in my working time, not counting youtube which is pretty much always running in the background when I'm at my desk... No FB, no twitter.

I'm pretty much online all day long. I have to be for work.

Besides work, I spend far too much time online, meaning reddit and gaming.

Just a few minutes on my off days. I have 3 sites I normally check out, if nothing is popping I usually piss away my time elsewhere. At work, quite a few hours.

Between email accounts, Facebook, RC and a few music sites, I'd say it's about 45-60 mins a day.

Internet, though, comprises a large % of my music listening, TV/movie/sports watching and sex life, so in reality the number is much higher than that

for real?
do you need us to coordinate an intervention?

my directive for you: more photographs and music...less internets

obey

lol well it's not 10 hours nowadays but it has been that and more in the past

now since i work AND study i can't get my full 10 hrs in

the internet is a terrible, addictive, mind-numbing thing. fuck it to eternal damnation

I have a love/hate relationship with the internet. I'd rather give it up than caffeine or beer, but unfortunately all three seem to rule my life.

I gave up TV but kept the interwebs. As long as it doesn't interfere with my social life or artistic productivity I'm okay, but those two things do suffer every now and again.

This is how it should break down per day:

15 minutes RC stuff
30 minutes Wikipedia "knowledge" (Prussian history, general semantics)
15 minutes on theatlantic.com and salon.com

How it actually goes down:

30 minutes Wikipedia "knowledge" (retired porn stars, Melvins album ratings)
2 hours Facebutting wondering why my friends are idiots
30 minutes random Google imaging for naked women
1 hour staring blankly at various Yahoo "articles"
7 straight hours on RC but only three times every 2 months
