How long is your commute to work?

The only reason I'm considering this is because it's not typical SoCal commuting. Typical SoCal commuting involves an hour of bumper to bumper traffic and another hour of heavy traffic, each way. This drive would involve mostly mountain driving and open highway, only about 5 miles would involve a lot of traffic.
That doesn't sound bad at all. If you would enjoy this new location, your overall mood will be much more important than waking up a little early to get to work. I actually enjoy a drive like that. Maybe not every day, though. Where is this house you're looking at?

Oh . . . I have to walk about one to one and a half steps out my back door to get to work . . . or I just sit in my home office and do accounting/bookeeping/dicking-off type work.

Idyllwild near Mt. San Jacinto, I have several pictures of the area in my Photography link. Big Bear and Arrowhead both have too many people but Idyllwild is still one of those quiet mountain town types. I might also look into Wrightwood, about the same distance but a shitty drive.

Holy crap, they have a website: http://www.idyllwild.com/

That area looks pretty sweet NAD. I alwasy liked the fact that in CA you can have that eternal summer and then have these awesome mountainous areas that have snow.
You planning to move up there alone?

Idyllwild near Mt. San Jacinto,
I hold the line –the line of strength that pulls me through the fear
San Jacinto - I hold the line
San Jacinto - the poison bite and darkness take my sight - I hold the line
And the tears roll down my swollen cheek - think I'm losing it - getting weaker
I hold the line - I hold the line
San Jacinto - yellow eagle flies down from the sun - from the sun

As for me... 5 minute walk to class.

Yep. Gonna talk about them shits in a serious fashion next week, see what I can pull. It's close enough to family and friends so it'll be cool. Most of my bros spend a lot of weekends up there anyhow.

Yeah and the ex-woman called me a few times tonight, probably trying to snake on my newfound moving habits. :hypno:

aghhhhhhh ... you need to listen to some Sam Kinison ... the man speaks the truth  :tickled: :loco:

No shit man. FUCK BITCHES. I don't know what the fuck I'm going to do about that situation, but I look like a damn mountain man now (hair and beard currently growing out all bum-style) so either she'll be disgusted or turned on.

My bro said "fuck her one more time and leave" and honestly that's the best advice possible. :loco:

it will take awhile to get over her, believe me ... especially since you still got feelings for her ... the beard is a good way to hide your pain :D

fuck, I am still not totally over my ex ... and that was 3 years ago. but that is a story I don't want to get into.

oh yeah ... and why does your ex still fucking call you and torture you ... if she claims its all over.

Yeah she said some ill shit like "I forgive you" tonight, and I'm thinking what the fuck biatch!? I'm sitting here thinking "leave me the fuck alone!" because I'm tired of dealing with this crap. Haha, one of my bro's told me he's having Thanksgiving dinner with his ex, I'll probably end up in the same boat like a SUCKER. If I do, mark my words, I shall get some fuckin' pussy that night. If not, I'll just mail my balls to the army because they'll no longer be mine.
