Yeha, we got the 4 song demo that you see on mp3.com. It's got a full layout and lyric sheet.

We recorded a new 8 song demo in July, but we haven't mixed it yet. It's gonna be brutal as fuck!

cool... post up on here when you get it done, because the demo's you've got on mp3.com are pretty good...

ha ha. I suppose i had better replt to my own thread, hey?

I been playing guitar -seriously- for ten years...

I would like to learn to sing (just like mikael akerfeldt's clean vox... awesome...!), but my voice is a bit deep, i'll have to work on it...

depends on what kind of music you want to play...
I suppose ehm METAL?

buy a guitar with at least 1 humbucker-pick up in bridge position...
otherwise how much money do you want to spend?
buy the best guitar you can have with that amount of money...
My fav brand is Jackson, but their cheap models suck...as does any cheap model by any brand...
Ibanez has some good low budget guitars , but I don't like ibanez anymore...(Once you're used to a high quality, handmade guitar, nothing can beat it...)

Or find a secondhanded ESP or so..or Gibson (I don't like gibson too though...can't help it, but they're TOO expensive for what they're worth..)

I have a Ibanez RG570 Ct and a Jackson PS3 (Randy Rhoads model)for sale...
I'm from Belgium though...hehe

JACKSON RULES!

I play bass for TWELFTH GATE. Some of you have already checked out my band & judging from the feedback we've gotten from this board, it's been very positive & quite motivating for us. We greatly appreciate everyone's comments.

For those who have not had a chance to check us out yet, we've got 4 demo tunes at MP3.com for your listening pleasure.

Also, since the majority of the musicians that have responded to the poll are guitarists, I was wondering if any of you Chicagoland guitarists might be interested in auditioning for TWELFTH GATE, or may know someone who might be. We're looking for a SECOND lead/rhythm guitarist to add to our current line up. We've been looking for quite some time now, but unfortunately, we seem to be having similar guitarist issues as Nevermore - just can't find that fifth piece to the puzzle, but function sufficiently as a four piece.

Thanks, and take care,

Rob

all right here it goes, i play bass in a band called Pain Principle, we've been around for about 6 years, and have 3 demos out. our websites down for reconstruction, but the url is www.painprinciple.net. here's the part thats gonna get ya, i played in DEATH. i was the touring bass player for 95-96. thats were i met the never dudes. i hung out with them more than i did chuck, gene, and bobby. if your european, and got an autogragh from kelli, it was probably me (hahahahahah )
i used to sign kelli's name as an inside joke between and kelli.

Hey kids, I play drums.... or percussion should I say.. going on.... 14 years? Something like that. Anyways, funny you guys bring up Savatage. I've met Caffery on a number of occassions [his "upstate" house is about two houses down from my cousin's] and keep loosely in touch with him. Very cool guy. Anyways, there's my $.02
