Firstly, I'd like to say
NEVERMORE KICKS ASS ENEMIES OF REALITY IS WICKED!!!
Sorry.
Now that that's off my chest, Id like to ask the musicians here if they feel Nevermore has inspired their playing/writing. I noticed that ever since I started listening to Nevermore (when they toured with Mercyful Fate for DNB) my music (and guitar playing) has gotten heavier and heavier, with a tendency toward constant movement; I think that's influenced by Nevermore's rolling rhythmical style. Also the melodicism (in the guitars and especially vocals) is so haunting and unforgettable, I can't help but be influenced by it (as vocalist and guitarist).
Anyways, my other point of business is to invite any drummers and keyboardists who are in or near Montreal to contact me if they are interested in playing in a seriously heavy progressive metal band (sort of a mix of Nevermore, Opeth, Symphony X, Dream Theater, Death, Porcupine Tree...).
Alright folks, cheers, I'll see you Montrealers at the Medley!
