I just wanted to tell Mr V that since ive started listening to his music i have really set out on a mission to discover things in a whole new light. I really enjoy the new album and I especially like the style of which Vintersorg plays. I know I sound just like every other crazed fan but i can say that I am different. I might have not been listening to Vintersorg that long, but thats just because I didnt even know the music was out there. I live in San Diego California and seeing that Death, Black, Progressive Metal is not that popular down here...well thats my excuse.

But ever since my friend introduced me to Vintersorg, Opeth, Borknagar, and tons of other great bands, My ear has been set to the wonderful complexity of Vintersorg's style and musical prowess. I do all my shopping at Blue Meanie Records here in SD and i believe Mr V knows where it is, because the owner of the store (Norm) is friends with Steve, the bass player in Vintersorg.

Well I just want to say again that Vintersorg's music has changed my life and has set me on a path to discover my own meaning in this cosmic journey through the mind of the world and cosmos. So please come down to San Diego if you ever get the chance I would really love to meet you in person...and I can say for sure that, that would be another life changing experience for me.

So Master. V is urging us to buy more and more albums. In fact he is a marketing consultant trying to manipulate our minds into a more $$$ behaviour! Just talk of the galaxy and they will go berserk, that's a huge market and a growing one!

Actually things surrounding mr. V has introduced me to some other bands/genre and I nearly always do my metoool business to the Napalm records store and it is very much to my liking, quick, good selection and cheap. Haven't read that much about astrology yet though but my brother has a book

I agree, the music is deep and is full of energy, being able to look at things in a different light. I't has changed my life as well, I think too much and probally over observe everything. The music had just intensifed it, but all Vintersorg albums are mind blowing. Visions and the Focusing Blur are amazing there just isn't another way for me to explain it. The previous albums to me are classic.

Vintersorg really should think about doing an america tour...The only other band i like in the Death, Black Genere that has ever been here to San Diego that I can think of is Opeth...and i missed it because I had to fuckin work...and also none of my friends listen to that type of music so they wouldent go to the fuckin concert with me...How fuckin lame is that....Anyway VINTERSORG RULES!!!

Actually...Vintersorg was one of the first bands I listened to when i ''became metal''...Really...like...damn...Vintersorg:)The place where I grew up...well there's 1000 people living there...and metal isn't exactly the most popular music style here..from around here I know like 4 metallars and that's all...and so...I listened to ''music'' like everybody around here did..until I got myself into the ''Slovene Tolkien Society''..I discovered Metal there...and wow what metal was:)Soon after joining i began to look for Viking/folk metal..and I just happened to stumble over till fjälls..a cassette owned by one of my new metal friends blew me the fuck away:)And well..that was the beginning...I did listen to metallica and iron maiden before vintersorg...but not before vintersorg have i ever listened to anything more metal...I started with Vintersorg...I went to black metal...and stuff like that...and today...I'm listening to power metal..and I'm also trying to make power metal (I play guitar and sing:D)...well...this is all pretty mixed up since I'm a tad bit drunk..but..well...thank you mr.V...you really did wake something special in me..to become what I am today..and thank you..really..thank you:)you're the man:)

i'm sorry to say this and sound like i'm flaming...but you people really have to stop this idol worship. I mean V's a great artist and all, but come on. He's not God, he's no better than you, me, or anyone. He's a normal human being, who just happens to be good at art and has an interesting perspective on things. I know that some of you consider yourselves as atheists and what not, and this kind of talk is no different than worshipping a God of some sort. I'm sure the last thing an artist wants is to start a cult following, unless they're some kind of money hungry ego (which V doesn't strike me as). I'm glad that you love music, but speaking as an artist myself, appreciation is one thing, worship is another. I one day strive to be appreciated, but never worshipped. Ever. I'm sure every true artist is the same way.

alright you dunces, I agree with the dude who told you to stop idol worshiping Mr. V. Now if you need worship and pay homage to someone, then I'm your new god. Thats right before you go to bed every night when you say your prayers, say them to your new god Loadie.. fucking dipshits you guys are. I mean for reals, it is one thing to like a band and all but you guys are like obsessing. this thread is about how vintersorg changed your life? come on i don't think this band or any really had that much impact, and if it did you probably should find something to do with your time that is more constructive than obsessing over bands.

didn't say flaming was good, insulting really gets nowhere. i just wanted to make the point that idol worship is just another religion. putting certain things on pedestals higher than us. kinda dumb. but whatever. V's just a man, kids, sorry, go back to bed.

Yes! Someone else said it! Don't get me wrong Mr.V is one of mt favorite musicans of all times and has allow me to step out of my Death and Black metal roots but lets not worship him. He's better then most but not a God!

I'm really hoping that was just a joke.

People need to regain touch with reality. Musicians like V just happen to be exceptional at their skill. Just because art is a much more moving skill doesn't mean they have some blessed power.

*grin*

Music is the god, the musician its prophet, the universe is a big being on whose electron we are parasites/elves.

I am addicted to music for it is a drug, and vintersorg makes good drug!!! *giggles*

Forgive my insanity, it is late and I am hyper for so many reasons.

Necramentia, I like your signature by the way...very good album, very good song.

Well you know... Einstein himself said that "Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one." ...so being in touch with an illusion can be a bit of a challenge I would think? :) Seriously though... I agree with you. But you know... we're all different, and maybe some people will have that kind of reaction. If they do, then hey, more power to 'em, I say! At least their not having "life changing" experiences because of something that would cause them to go out and kill people, other otherwise to harm to the earth or the rest of mankind. Know what I mean?

The only things that "change my life" are my own internal reactions to events around me. No one else can change my life for me, and I can't say that anyone has ever had that profound an effect on me. I can, however, most easily say that Vintersorg has been a huge inspiration to me. Though my own music doesn't sound anything like Vintersorg (I don't think, anyway), the ideas, concepts, structures and arrangements that Vintersorg has used, varied and evolved throughout the years are truly fascinating to me, and help move me to think about things in a different way. This, I think, directly affects my own efforts of creative self expression in very positive ways.

Blah... too early to be thinking about deep thoughts. There's not yet enough blood in my coffee... er... I mean coffee in my blood.

Well, I'm mad about Sweden, smoked salmon, Swedish language, Swedish nature, Swedish food, whole Scandinavia, other Swedes, trolls, huldror, tomtar and other creatures and all Swedish things both real and unreal...
