How much time do you spend working?

Many of us here post from work, which brings the question, what is your employer actually paying you for? Nad has 33,000 posts on this forum, I'd venture to say 80% of them were done from work. Same goes for Lizard R.I.P, Ali (before he became motivated to move up the corporate ladder, Aurel ( own boss), Erik (who has the time to create PlasticNapsack is a faggot threads), along with many others of us.

Then on the flipside there's poor Cara who is just being slammed, can't break for coffee, and doesn't even have the time to wipe while sitting down.


In an 8 hour day I probably put in a good 15min-1hour of leisurely labor. This has it's ups and it's down to it, as sometimes I feel that I have too much time on my hands and begin to think to myself, "I need a job, oh wait I have one."

edit: oh i didn't read the op before replying, so THAT's what you mean. it varies. today i worked pretty much 95% of the time because there was real shit to be done, but some days are really lazy but that's mostly because there's honestly nothing sensible to do

Not really, I could have easily engaged Justin in an epic flame war a couple weeks ago, but opted out of it. I just don't have it in my blood to spend energy on such pettifog. I say this for the last time, he is not my joke account (where is the funnay?). Acie, Derick, Cara, and the entire TexRC syndicate can attest to this post CarneCon. Though, if one you were to send Derick a convincing pm that this individual was a troll account penned by my hand, I'm sure he would ban the account, as he has done to all my other "characters". I've had a part-time temp job for the last year. Usually they only have me come in 4 days a week for 4 hours a day. Of those 4 hours a day I usually do actual work for 1-2 hours. The rest of the time I read the news online or shit like that. Sadly I'm at the front desk and they have it positioned so everybody can see what's on my computer screen.

But I just accepted another teaching job in Japan so I only have two more weeks of this part-time bullshit.

Some days I don't have time to get coffee or screw around, other times I have lots of free time. Some days I'm not even in the office and am at a customer site, then sometimes even food and coffee and water fall off the rader for 6-9-12-too many hours.

Normal days I start with checking my mails, answring the urgent ones, grab a second coffee and cruise the web to wake up (assuming there is nothing urgent).

You know, I did actually go through all the posts I made during that time about my experiences in Japan and compiled them in a little text file. Maybe I'll start my own thread dedicated to it this time around and use that compilation as the first post.

I'm not around computers for work, I'm driving all over the place to all kinds of retail outlets which is kinda lame but I get to meet lots of people from all different walks of life and talk to them. I'd say out of a regular 9-hour workday I spend a good 7-8 working depending on drive time between calls. The real plus is if I finish my calls early I can just go home and nobody will be the wiser for it

Got to work a little late today so I decided to hold my urine for an hour or so and then take a pee break. Finally did so, 5 and a half hours later when I took my lunch break. I did manage to kick some ass today though, had only 14 cases left untouched when I left, as opposed to the usual 20 or more.

The only job I've ever posted here from was my recreation center job in Maryland. Those were good times.
