How the fuck are you supposed to play this?

That's an official tab, so it definitely is palm muted.
But I can't get it to sound right, has my left hand just not got enough strength?

Well theres obviously been some editing on the recording, but the tab looks insane, maybe the first note (powerchord) is palm muted but you then use legato for the following 3 notes? Tis a crazy song haha

That's what i was thinking?
But I still can't get it to sound right (bear in mind I can't play any of this at anywhere near full speed)

Why is it obvious that there's been editing done?
Not all musicians are complacent little shits that can't be bothered to practice.

It might be finger strength, you might just have to hit harder  i'm really not sure how a human could play this

Look at the tab haha

The fact is that whether you like the music or not, they can play the living shit out of their instruments.
Which in the case of Lille Gruber, is the guitar and the drums (and the drums and vocals at the same time live sometimes)

Yeah I'm not saying they can't play, i'm just saying that some editing probably went on when they recorded, just to make things just that bit tighter

they never struck me as the kind of band that need it or that would believe they need it.
why is that such a difficult concept? jesus

GOD FORBID MUSICIANS CAN PLAY IN TIME WITH EACH OTHER HEEEEEEEEEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEEEE

AFAIK they actually didn't edit very much and recorded most of their stuff live...
so +1 to what Gareth said.
They're all pretty sick musicians, their old guitar player (rip) for example played
drums in a jazzband, his son now plays with them (his son is the defeated sanity
drummer).

Ok I take my edited comment back then haha

Editing does not necessarily mean the musicians don't practice, for christ's sake when will people get over the fact that it's a tool and nothing else, some people like the "inhumanity" of a tightly edited performance and others prefer the live feel of an untouched (but GOOD) performance. No one will EVER be as perfect as an edited performance, even the best in the world is still human and will never reach robot status in their playing, and that robot feel is sometimes desireable and sometimes not, in the end it always depends on the feeling of the song and what the musicians and producer want. I have no idea about the song in question though, just saying
