Wouldn't boost/verb guitars at all. I don't know what you mean as "open" in that other post, but something I've found out today by referencing on a different pair of headphones is that clearing up the low end can really let your mix breathe a LOT, and has impact all over the frequency spectrum. Everything has more room to breathe and it really gives an "open" and "airy" feel.

Find a good room verb IR that you like and add that into your mix to give it more of a live spacey feeling. You could also try throwing in a room mic far away when tracking guitars to give it that 'distant' feeling and blend that in with your other guitars. There are a few ways to go about getting that open sound. Lots of layers is another way.
