Finally got here from the states today guys! Complete with hefty import duty, ****ing 32%! whats going on...

Anyway, managed to get the outputs configd, which are sounding pretty lush indeed. I cant get the monitor (delta control panel) settings to take effect AT all. Like when i try muting and stuff it just doesnt work- same for trying to switch off left and right stuff etc. It seems to be bypassing it. God knows why! I've disabled the old sound stuff and selected the new.

Next up.. It wont even pass the test for cubase...

heres my settings:

monitor mix on patchbay tab Hw 1/2 out

Settings:

internal xtal
multitrack drivers: single and in sync
codec rate: 44.1 with locked and idle settings OFF!
DMA buffer: 256 samples
Asio options: disable in software monitoring checked <--- this might be the one!

will check!

Tried everything, but still no joy yet. The monitor mixer actually jumps up and down when i play something, so there is a signal coming in at least! Should sound be actually coming out of the speakers when playing or not? All i've actually done is install the m-audio cd that came with it. Also, tried updated drivers but i still get the same prob. Anything else i need to install? Maybe the problem lies here? Not sure which to select for the mic inputs? I've now actually got the monitor to effect out going sound, which is half the problem :)

Break through guys- I've managed to get an audible INPUT signal working, and its sounding pretty nice! But the down side is.... its too quiet to hear, and when i say quiet, i mean the signal isnt going higher than the bottom of the green bar. :( Any ideas please lads? TWIGS- I hope the jumpers are set right! HAHAHAHA

how are you routing your moniter chain......this might be a stupid question but are you still using the stock sound card for output....

Explain the input chain in detail......

I think it could be sorted dude, just gonna take the PC apart, and check the jumpers. Im seriously hoping that they're set to -10 db instead of +4 db!
If not... Well it'll be back to the drawing board :(

Try it....it only takes two seconds to switch the jumpers....

Ditto! Took me 3mths to get my PC laptop set-up to happilly run a session, took me around 30mins with my iBook. :Smug:

Damn. Same hardware and software (Mac and PC versions respectively)?

FWIW, I used a Delta1010 (not LT) on a PC with Cubase SX2, SX3, and even VST over the last 3 years or so with no problems. Once I got a handle on the Delta software interface, it was smooth sailing.

Other than me generally not knowing what the fuck I was doing at first... ;)

Dude, kev... Can you re-size those photos? By like 75% or so? :p
