Simple question.... How to get this guitar tone or something similar?

I'm assuming some sort of heavy fuzz instead of distortion. I'm using a Big Muff to get an approximate tone, but the low end is NOWHERE near enough.

Anyone got tips for recreating this type of sound on VSTs as well? Going to be recording with my doom band fairly soon and want to get the necessary tone issues sorted before hand.

Sounds like alot of the low end your talking about is coming from the bass set up. I say that because at 3:25 the guitarist is doing a quick solo point and the bass is still carrying the low end. It does sound like some sort of fuzz but I don't have much experience in fuzz so I can't say for sure which pedal. If you have a bass then try to blend the fuzzed guitar and bass to see if it gets you closer.
