How's this clean tone? (Engl Blackmore clip)

What do you guys think of this clean tone? I used an Ibanez S540 (single coil pickup) with my Engl Blackmore 100 and VHT 4x12 cab. I added some slight chorus and reverb and a Sennheiser E609 mic was used.

The only thing I added was some slight chorus and reverb in Kristal (recording program I use), other than that I didn't add any EQ or anything.

It's pretty cool, but it's a little "twangy" for my tastes, I usually prefer something duller sounding, but remember that's just my preference.

Thanks for listening man! I was kinda going for a twangy, strat sorta clean there. If I use the neck pickup it would probably be more of your style.

Sounds good man, like Lopes i do prefer a less twangy tone but for what it is it sounds good.
Just an observation, is it just me or is the guitar out of tune?

Hmm, I tuned it right before I recorded, but my strings are very old and my Ibanez needs re-setup...so possibly.

Yeah I I really dig that sound, but as well as Impy, I'm getting a bit of an 'out-of-tune' vibe from it. It could just be the chorus though... they tend to detune things.

After listening to the clip a few times again, I've come to the conclusion that it's the chorus effect that's giving it that "out of tune" vibe.

I got the feeling it wasn't the chorus, i think it was just one of the higher strings that was out of tune (or all of the other ones )

nice but a bit to "twangy", I like piezo style tones, no distortion, nothing, for my cleans, a little reverb, but thats only my opinion

I'd say glassy. I prefer warmer sounds but yours will sit well in a metal mix.
