How's this computer for recording?

Hey guys, wanted to know if this spec is good for a recording computer:


Power: A.PFC 550W
Board: ASUS DDR3 G41
Processor: Intel 2.66ghz quad core
Ram: 2gb
Graphic card: Nvidia GeForce 210 512mb
Hard drive: 1000gb.

is this a strong one?

It will get you by fine. Its not super strong, but its certainly not weak. Upgrade the ram up to 4GB and you'll be sorted.

If you don't upgrade the RAM, and put a potentially hogging OS on the system - you might find some issues crop up.

Try getting a hold of XP if you can !

I would suggest 4Gb of Ram too but try W7, you'll never get back again.

Also, which quadcore is it ? if it's and old quadcore, or an i5 or an i7, it's not the same, would it be 2.66Ghz in every case.

Anyway it should be decent.
