Huge noob question about Trigger 2

Can you trigger it directly from MIDI? So if I have ezdrummer running can I send a MIDI out to it? I ask because I'm having trouble getting velocities to match. I'm sure it's fine with proper audio but this isn't working particularly well for me, even over printed tracks. I'm assuming this is because of the humanisation of ezdrummer.

It would be much easier if I could just trigger it with the MIDI.

Yeah you can trigger it with midi, it's in settings somewhere.

Funny I just stumbled upon this thread, I just bought Trigger 2 and was able to send midi from EZ/Superior in a couple minutes with no hassle. Sounds great

That's how I mainly use trigger.

If you can turn off the humanization in EZDrummer it might help, just modify the actual MIDI track for variance/humanization instead. I use Superior Drummer 2 and it works perfectly fine with Trigger 2.

Are you able to run that live while mixing? I always print the tracks before I start to mix...most of the time I need to nudge the tracks back a little.
Pro Tools + SSD gives me always a little delay.
