i think that you guys have named several great vocalists, but all of them are missing something.
D.C. Cooper- not NEARLY enough range in musical ability OR style. a decent voice but, realistically, not even close.
Edu Falaschi- this guy is amazing, but his style is nowhere near sym x. he doesn't have the sould and boldness that russell has.
Roy Khan- ... are you guys serious?.... i mean it ... are you? he's a good singer but my god he doesn't have a dixie cup compared to the sea of aggression russ has.he doesn't belt out lines like russ does... no SOUL again. NO BOOM!!!!!

if they used anyone BUT Jorn, i would hope they disband. jorn is the only one who has the boom, soul, range(both style and musical) and chops to replace such a guy as russ.

Problem with getting Jorn in is that the albums would all have to have their names changed in order to accommodate the man's behemoth ego, for example:
