I always sleep with a fan ON all night long

I do that too. If I don't have some kind of drone to knock out with, my mind wont stfu and let me sleep. It's a lot healthier than falling asleep with the TV on, being unconsciously bombarded with advertisements from commercials.

While not a fan, I definitely require some sort of noise to actually sleep. Some of the best sleep I've ever had strangely enough was while I was in the hospital with the sound of a medication pump constantly keeping beat. Perhaps it was the morphine, but I'm sticking with my original theory. :D

Seriously thought - I either leave music playing extremely low all night or the TV on. I can never get to sleep in complete silence.

If I ever sleep with a fan on it's always on the low "summer" setting, blowing air toward the ceiling.
I know people that sleep with it full blast pushing air downward, which is crazy.

I do in the summer.
I've got a thermometer in my room, and it regularly reaches 37°C INSIDE my room.
Shit sucks, especially for someone who starts to sweat when it gets anywhere near 20.

But no, I sleep with headphones, unless I'm literally exhausted then I can't sleep without music.

I stopped doing this after I ruined my earphones while sleeping totally drunk and having the cable wrapped around me.

Get yourself some Sennheiser IE4's, low enough profile that there are no real issues. Been using them for about 7 years now.

I had tinitus all my life for some reason, and still, every single noise, especially ticking clocks anoy the fuck out of me. I have to sleep with ear plugs when there is any noise. Continous noises like (quiet) fans are not that bad, but i would sleep better in a total silence.

This is a dumb fucking thread.

I can sleep with my ear plugs on but the album has to put me to sleep. Well, I guess it doesn't matter if it puts you to sleep or not. I fell asleep to Dying Fetus today.

During the summer I have my window AC running for 2 hours. During the winter I have small portable heater I connect to the wall socket. I always have something in the background while going to sleep, I can't have music though, I tend to rock out.

Sleeping with a fan was key to falling asleep in an obnoxiously loud dorm. Now that I live alone I like the peace and quiet with it off.

I live in belfast in a shit student apartment, its sooo cold, i sleep with a heating fan plugged in into one of these set for 30 minutes before my alarm so i acctually want to get out of bed because its warm in the room

Haha I actually just stayed in a hospital with someone last night and it was the best sleep I've gotten in a while minus having her wake up puking ever 3 hours :p

My brother sleeps with a fan on all the time even in the winter but he's a damn polar bear. I understand the noise thing though, I can't sleep without a sound machine.
