Yeah I know. Even though i am not a big Metallica fan, no band deserves fake posts like this that stir up trouble. Especially a band which were one of the originators of American thrash metal...even if their past few efforst were sub par, someone shouldn't be able to take away what they have done in the past.

As far as I know, NEUROSIS's later albums are all death/doom. I've only heard a few tracks of each though. Wasn't terribly impressed. I was thinking of picking up a GRAVES and or a MOONSPELL album this week. Do you know anything about them?

I have a few MOONSPELL songs on some of my BW samplers(i get this mag every month...just for the smapler). I am going to get some moonspe....pretty good, more gloom/goth than doom, the vocals at times arent real great, but none the less, a pretty damn good band as far as i know.

Very very true. I just bought Rude Awakening and I must say, I am pleasantly surprised. Megadeth has been shit (Cryptic and TWNAH were solid...but not excellent and Risk blew) since Youthanasia imo, but this live album rules...even songs off of TWNAH are done well.

I had some Mega around 93, but since then, i have lost them. When grunge came into th escene, I wasnt happy, so i started my vynil collection, and just started gettin new stuff again a couple yrs ago. I missed alot of stuff. FOr about the past 6 months ive been gettin at lest 2 cd's a week, sometimes 5.

yeah, after all of the hype Megadeth dished out, TWNAH hardly lived up to anything near it. Some good songs, but overall, nothing mindblowing. The next album will be key.....will they put out more garbage or actually apply themselves and rip one out?

Well, like I told you, I get that mag every month. ANd Dave MUSTAINE is a good friend of one of the writers, so Mega is in the book every month. Dave says he did sell out, but he didnt mean to(i know, it sounds wierd). He says that the next album will be heavy and complicated, he says he will never listen to another executive again on what types of songs to put out. He said this again too......if the next one doesnt come out heavy, then i have lost it, adn i will quit.
I suppose we shall wait and see.

Yeah we can only hope. I don't think he was trying to sell out with Risk; I mean come on, that album wasn't even mainstream enough to sell out! It was an odd compilation of pop rock and lack luster riffage. I hope the next one is heavy and complicated but it won't be another RIP, CTE or Youthanasia imo. I hope beyond all hope I am incorrect, as Deth used to be my favorite band (now Nevermore)...but I've been fed the "this will be heavy and a return to our roots" line for years now from Megadeth and Metallica camps.
