hi all -

I am a fan of rock music from the 80's, 90's, etc.
It's slim pickings to get a favorite from radio songs these days.
Lots of bands get radio play and mainstream attention but for some reason I
Can't relate....

This month (from Vintage Vinyl in Woodbridge NJ, USA) I bought in order:
Lynch - Furious George - (Dokken)
Scorpions - Unbreakable
Saxon - Lionheart
Dubrow - In for the Kill (Quiet Riot)

OK, so it's four... I have to say.. appreciate fresh new ones rather than covers.
However, after hearing Warrant and Joan Jett do theircover albums, Lynch and Dubrow seemed like great choices. Of the two, get Dubrow.

As for the originals... Saxon kicks!
The Metalhead tour was a "flyby".. One stop in the Northeast.
Sorry I missed you then....

Killing ground was a great few stops in NJ for a big festival and
a bar in Wantagh for a small place..

I will move a mountain to see Saxon in America again.
Let's face it.... I'm almost 40.. that makes Saxon 50+
Ozzy said at that age "retirement sucks".
Kiss says If it's too loud you're too old....
i say.. F-them if they can't take a loud rock show!
There's plenty of venues here in NJ...

How about Double-D's? Gues what? It's not only a
venue for bands like Quiet Riot, Saxon, Mountain, Scorpions,
Warrant, Ratt, but it also has a second room as a topless place!

Cone on you guys! Play your show and get a BJ for the road!
Come to America.... See you soon....

Lionheart is stuck in my CD player among all others.
I have stopped buying albuns until I get tired of Lionheart.
I said the same of HMT, and ther have been few between.

Saxon Rules.
G-nite all.

Hey, Mike - some nice comments, My Good Man!
I tell you, I'm 32 and feel exactly the same - I love loads of different kinds of music, particularly Rock, and have always tried to be open-minded, but I have real trouble relating to music these days. there are a few new-ish bands that I've gotten to like, but they just don't touch me in the same way, you know?
So you ain't alone!

Hopefully, Biff and the boys will linger a little while longer Stateside. I think it is just an issue of expense that they tend to nip in and out. But, after the critical success of 'LionHeart', the US tour may be a little more determined.
As Biff obviously reads the forum, send in your suggestions (like you have) and you never know... He may book a place simply because of the topless performances next door!

Hey Mveneck you mention Lynch in your list, have you heard his band lynch Mob? great stuff check out 'Wicked Sensation' & Self titled 'Lynch Mob'
