Im in the market for a low cost interface since my whole ProTools HD rig got stolen from my house. I have been thinking of buying the FF800 or the Digi 003r. Which one sounds better in your opinion. I have heard nothing but great things about the FF800. Since I am used to ProTools I would like the 003r, but if it does not sound as good the FF800, I would rather get the FF800. Any opinions?

depends if you wanna stick to tools really! LE without music production toolkit is a bit of a pain in the arse
i have a 002 and i love it.
most of my work involves travelling to other studios, so i normally make sure they've got a decent converter there ; apogee at the two i usually visit, adat into the 002, and bobs your uncle. 8 more inputs and ace conversion, as well as easy implementing with the studio.

003 is sposed to be seriously improved from the 002. i wanna get a 003 rack, coz much as i adore my 002(surface that is), it can be a pain to carry about. less so since i got a digi bag for it, but racks llok cool now dont they.
