U ppl make a big fuss about metallica.
Why don't you talk about NWOBHM? That is where Metallica ripped off their first riffs... Search in Diamond Head, Blitzkrieg,etc...
And don't let me hear anyone that metal nowadays is just rippoffs, cuz back then there was really nothing to steal from... except NWOBHM. And they did that. Bathory were more original than Metallica. Metalchurch were more technical those days. If it hadn't been for promotion Metallica would have ended up in their own snake pit.

I like Diamond Head and Blitzkrieg but a lot of those NWOBHM bands blow. Besides EVERY Diamond Head song Metallica did sounded better than the original!

well I don't know the numbers but they were huge underground,
thàt's why they became famous in the first place(imho).they already were a stadion-act with AJFA, I have the live shit:binge & purge box with a show in Seattle.wondering if WD was around??
also when they opened for Ozzy in '86, a lot of people went to see Metallica, not Ozzy.

Think about it-There they were,sitting backstage after one of the last shows on the..And Justice...tour,when the aliens came.the space creatures abducted the 4 guys b/cuz their home planet was planning to disect Metallica to find out more about the awesome power of heavy metal so to use it to overtake humanity when the again invaded earth.Then the aliens created clones of the 4 guys,giving them short hair so to see how changing the apperaence of an earth celebrity would effect their earthly fame.The aliens instructed the clones to keep writing music,but music that was horribly pallid in comparison to the real Metallica's former glory,so to numb the earthling metalheads who might catch on to their sinister plot.Unfortunetly,the alien's spaceship self-destructed en route to their home planet,which means we will never have the true Metallica back.Our only hope is that a similar self-destruct mechanisim was put onto the imposter Metallica.

When Metallica goes back on tour, I can guarantee you that most everyone in here will go, and not admit it. I am one of the people that will be going to the show. I'm a member of the MetClub at the highest rate you can pay. I'm honored to be a part of the club, because Metallica is one of THE best bands in history. I respect them for experimenting, trying to give their fans a new sound. I, for one, can't wait for the next album to be released. I'm sure it's gonna be awesome! Theres my 2 fucking cents, take it or leave it, it's what I believe, and that's what many many many many other people believe, and I won't let anyone take that from me..
