I Just Bought DFHS!

DFHS is definitely sweet. Now you can have fun pulling your hair out trying to get them to sound natural and fit in a mix well. I'm still at that point, actually. :zombie:

Same here... The sounds are great, but I wish DFH had a built in sequencer like Beatcraft. So much nicer than plugging in all the beats and velocities thru MIDI. I'm wondering if EZ Drummer might be a better option for a simpleton like me. :erk:

See, I like the programming, because when a beat comes down that I was fighting for, it's very rewarding. That, and messing around until certain drum fills start sounding more natural, all that is real fun to me. The mixing, however, is not. It's a pain in the ass to get toms to sound good. Mendel and Neon Bob make it sound effortless. Most times it just makes me wanna break my penis through my monitor. :yuk:

Yeah but 9 out of 10 times when you do it yourself it is going to sound better.

Yes....Me....

Right on! Man, I'm new to the MIDI. Do you use the pencil? Seems kinda lame that way. I definately want to seperate the Kick, snare, etc to their restpective tracks. Can I load my own kick (Andy's) instead of the stock ones?

Yes the pencil....or you use pre made loops. Entering each hit and adjusting is the best way to it. It is very time consuming but will yeild the best result. Every software host does it with the same method. One thing you need to do is go on ToonTracks webpage and download the drum maps and the little tutorial on how to set sonar up with DKFH. The first time is a little time consuming but once you have it templated you will be fine. I have done a lot of work with Sonar 5 and DKFH with great results so don't stress about it. You will figure it out in time. Also to you Andy's kick you need to insert drumagog on one of the audio tracks that the kick points to. If you need help just let me know.
