If it was in Japan, and I made it there, I'd probably miss the party because I'd be at the music store buying CDs with Japan bonus tracks! :D

I'm not sure they're all that valuable. I have some Japanese editions and the bonus tracks are not so good to justify the insane price.

I will be on the other hand spending a lot of money into electronic gadgets, manga, anime, visiting Hiroshima, etaing yakisoba, and Japanese girls:hotjump: ...I already have mentioned that isn't it? :p

I say THANK YOU to UM/UMOS years of searching and hoping to find some people interested in my musical tastes who could have a decent, mature, respectable convo about metal, rock, pop, whatever...who know how and when to use profanity and can actually spell the words correctly :tickled: And THANK YOU to all the fabulous people who welcome you in with open minds and open hearts *sniff *sniff

This forum gives the best recommendations...I've been behind on my purchases and listening enjoyment ever since I got here and I am not complaining about that at all!

In the short time I've been here I have talked to so many wonderful, kind and caring human beings and am proud to call you my UMOS metal brothers and sisters. I look forward to meeting some of you soon at PP and would love to be able to meet you all someday 'cuz ya know I've been eyeing a European Vacation for too damn long... or was that the hot young Swedish guy..or the non English speaking Italian?!?!? :tickled:

If we get to vote on where to meet I'm throwing the Fiji Islands into to mix... :D

UMOS is LAW.........besides Patricide of course :D

in all seriousness, everybody here is great. Nobody flames anybody, nobody disrespects anybody's opinion (granted, a couple jokes may be made at a differant opinion), and everybody gets along. You guys are awesome, keep it up  *tear*

The fact that I consider a lot of people on this board as friends even though we've never met in person says it all about this forum. I don't have the time these days to be as active here as I used to be but I can still only go a couple of days without checking in and seeing what everyone is talking about. This is my home on the net. :)

One thing I have notcied about this board even after only being here a short while is that the word "communtity" actually means something. The board seems less like a general forum but more like a group of friends chatting after work or something like that. Ya know what I am sayin? Even though most people on the forum have never met one another everyone seems to be genuine friends with each other. I think that it is an amazing place and hope to one day work my way up to being a regular.

Wow thanks for the compliments Evil?

Kittybeast your vote for the Fiji Islands is noted! :) I would love to get there with you all.

I have to agree with everything already said. It really is a great place with great people. I don't post on many boards at all, but this place is different in a very special way. Great job Hawk keeping it this way, and thanks to everybody that posts here for keeping it a great place to visit as well. :kickass:

It would be cool to get together some day, have a few beers and listen to some kick ass metal. Everybody could just come over to my house! :D

Indeed. This is easily the best metal BB I've ever stumbled across. Great people, tons of "experience" in the music, a variety of views from across the globe, etc.

Being that I now have a 3 month old daughter, my time spent here is now limited. However, I really do consider this board as a respite from dailt life....a place to both look back and to move forward. Make sense?

Can't remember where exactly is Fiji now, but I can accept that or the Bahamas, or the Virgin (hahahahaha) islands.

I just wish I could meet you all on a UMOS gathering! Thats would kick sooo much as!! BBQ + Metal + cool people = BIG party!!

Okay, so I suggest a meeting in Croatia next summer on some island of ours.
Maybe not as fancy as Fiji or similar postcard-white sand beach island, but with nature intact and very enjoyable sea. :)

Yeah, UMOS rocks, I don't really post that often, mainly because of lack of time or because someone already said what I think, so I feel there's no need to repeat. Y'know, great minds think alike... ;)

Cheers all!

Hey! The New Belgium Brewery is just up the street (sort of) from where I work. Does that count? They're actually a pretty cool company. About as enviromentally friendly as they can be -- wind powered, etc. Here's their home site:

New Belgium Brewery

There's also a big Budweiser brewery nearby and a coupla microbreweries that really are just up the street.

So if a variety of beers is key then I'd be more than happy to host. :D

Yeah I love the microbrewery/restaurant Taverns we got one called
The Broad Ripple Brew Pub Micheal Jackson(the Brew Hunter not the pop
star) has drank in that place on several occasions!

I want a place where you can scuba or at least snorkel. So tropical islands sounds good to me, or a nice place in the Mediterranean sea.

I love this forum and the people in this forum. Everyone's nice, gets along, it's a very refreshing departure from the rest of the net. This place used to be a barren waste land that no one visited. Then, if memory serves me right, along came myself, JD, Sixx, Bryant and Hawk a couple years back. Since then, this has been my internet HOME.

To the UMOS forums and the great people in it.
