I just wanted to say I am goddamned PROUD of this community!

I actually I was brought in by sixx. He PMed me to tell me I would love UMOS and asked me to check it out. Most of the regulars were already here as far as I know. Greeno and Wyvern being among them.

I remember posting something about the historical background of the US civil war and getting a lot of responses! That was unheard of as far I knew at the time. It could only happen here :)

Haha... I remember that Civil War thread. Man, nothing is off limits around here... the Civil War, WWII airplanes, wrestling, movies, cars, you name it. It's cool that we were brought together by metal and it's nice to be able to talk about a little of everything (while metal remains the main focus).

I want a place where you can scuba or at least snorkel. So tropical islands sounds good to me, or a nice place in the Mediterranean sea.

It says that it's a great place to learn to scuba. I've never been out of the U.S. (no, not even Mexico or Canada) so anywhere outside the U.S. would be cool for me. I have been to Texas. It's just like going to another country. :loco:

You also met a stupid frog on the old Jag Panzer board :D ;)

Yeah UMOS used to be a desert at the time I registered, but it became a whole new community one year later, thanks to some new folks gathering the troops.

My grandma had to hightail it out of Mexico once. Some kid tried to grab her purse or something and she beat the hell out of him. Rather than deal with the cops and stuff, her and gramps just got out as fast as they could.

 hehehe our exp. had more to do with My Buddy Jesse giving a Hooker 3 bucks and us being pulled over for it about 5 feet down the road .... I told him not to mess with those Hookers!!! but does anybody listen to Jonah Hell no they would rather have the city burn than do that :p .... hahah sorry biblical reference ... :D

Isn't Jesse the same friend that ran from the cops a little while back? If he is then I think Jesse needs a hug. Or something. :D

So Barry Manilow was already discussed and I missed it. Just recently I mentioned him as being "a band I like and everybody else hates" in the non-metal forum. Well, that´s life. Just glad I now learned that I can express the sensitive part in me at UMOS as well :D .
Anyway, great forum, I got a lot of excellent band and album recommendations just reading what you guys say. Also I am really impressed about some very personal threads in here in the past. a) that some of you share your personal problems/ delicate family situations here on the board, and b) that most peolpe reply with serious recommendations and own stories. Hardly anybody is taking the piss. Wow. Glad to be your guest from time to time. UMOS gathering ? Oktoberfest Munich !

YEP! that is the one hahaha He has a hard time staying out of trouble .. and an even harder time NOT TALKING SHIT to the cops ... I dont know if a Hug will help him or not ... though I suppose if it were a Hug From a Big Breasted Maiden that would make him smile ... and she dont even need to be pretty :loco:

Please excuse us. We're killing time because we're too excited to do much of anything else. We're going back and forth in this thread and PMing on the back side. Y'all understand, right? I haven't slept decently for three or four nights. :D o_O :loco:

Hey! The New Belgium Brewery is just up the street (sort of) from where I work. Does that count? They're actually a pretty cool company. About as enviromentally friendly as they can be -- wind powered, etc. Here's their home site:

New Belgium Brewery

That's a fun website to look at...Only; real Abbey beers are ofcourse brewed in ...an abbey :) There are only 6 beers or so that can have the label "abbey-beer" on it in Belgium....
For a full list of Belgian beers hold on to your chair and look at
http://www.dma.be/p/bier/1_11_uk.htm

About the UMOS community...All is said I think !! Made some great friends here and surely will meet some more in future !

Holy crap! 1547!?! And some of those are over 10% alcohol! That's almost as much as wine.

My wife went to Germany for work a few years ago. She's gotten real particular about the beer she drinks since then. And coffee too. I was worried she would get corrupted (educated). :D

True, I met you at the Jag Panzer forum. Did you tell me about UMOS first? I thought it was SiXX...

I met Fang first at TMG, I can't remember who/what brought me in here, but boy I'm glad I came

Actually somebody from a finnish Black metal forum brought me here and I wasn't too
crazy about the Gen. disc. elitist snobbery so I checked the Old School section started
talking football with the Swinester and I haven't looked back ever since!
