Daylight Dies new album

Both awsome, what wlse is out there in the same sort of genre if you can class it like that.

Riverside remind me more of Porcupine Tree but they are great! - I do hear the sort of Katatonia link.

However out of some that I have heard its a fantastic start to something I hope will grow I wish there was a bit more on myspace.

Dont get me wrong I do like it, I can't wait to hear it, but you know whats needed don't you:


Jens Bogren - that would give it the extra magic it deserves.

Whoever mixes the stuff could do with some nice drum samples.

New Katatonia sound:

Riverside is a nice blend of Katatonia/Porcupine Tree
Dead Soul Tribe is a band with some similarities, but the lyrics are usually quite different from the standard Katatonia fare.
Rain Paint is a Katatonia-worship band. Just look at their logo.
Anathema evokes the same depressive atmosphere, although musically both bands are quite dissimilar. I suppose the vocals might be a link...
Canaan - Basically Katatonia-gone-ambient. Worth checking out, but you have to be patient with this band.

Of course they were. Paradise Lost is good, Anathema are amazing.
