This thread reminds me of a classmate in my High School. She told us of her dad who admired Hitler. Apparently, Adolf did a lot of stuff for their country and all the schools back then praised Hitler.

She would have been highly interested in this thread.

Well, if you can remember the condition of Germany at the time, in the 20s Germany was crushed under the reparations they were being forced to pay. Then, Hitler came along and took the country and completely turned the economy and social system around and Germany became a superpower.

If Hitler didn't try to take the whole cake and alternatively; if he just stopped at annexing parts of Czechoslovakia by political means, and a bit of western Poland, he would have gone down in history as a great leader.

perhaps, but then again, a lot of the work creating actions involved production or army materials and if he only wanted to annex czechoslovakia and austria then he wouldn't have put so much focus on the army and thus wouldn't have created work for as many as he did.

Yep, that's true. He also helped other countries allied with his such as Finland and India (where my mentioned classmate's dad was from).
