On the subject, ive been asking myself since graspop why Amon Amarth used 2 runes for "th" (in amarth) instead of 1 thurisaz. Anyone knows why?

Im not a rune expert either, but i can read/write in the elder futhark and know some basic stuff about (at least some) runes

Dude, it's not for fooling around with, though, so don't do anything stupid. Runes are only useful if you consecrate them anyhow.

TH and Þ are two differentsounds. Thorn/thurisaz is a much harder sound. The times I've heard the guys say "Amon Amarth", it definitely sounds like "th" and not "Þ". Have a native speaker say "Thor" and you'll hear what I mean.
