I made my choice

If Glenn has an Entombed reunion with the Petrov/Hellid/Cederlund/Andersson lineup headlining Progpower, I will fucking swim from Finland to Atlanta to see it.

Seriously.

I wouldn't blame you in the slightest.

I think it's Celtic Frost, although I guess the *tour* has sorta been announced, so I'm probably wrong...

Oh, and thanks for having the balls to go "D". It had to be that or the sure thing...

I personally love the unconventional. I might not like all the bands, but for as much as Glenn works his ass off... I just keep my mouth shut.

Agreed. I've also been continually surprised by how much I like bands that I'm not a big fan of before I go in there. Of course, it didn't work with Dreamscape, but...

Oh, and every time I see your sig, I feel proud to have been the setup for it... ;)

My vote goes to TNT! They are a great heavy metal band. While they are in glam fashion they had a heavy power metal influence back in the day and their newer material just kicks ultimate amounts of ass.

My dream would be to witness a Hurricane reunion but I know that is not happening lol. Bad Moon Rising? Dio? Whitesnake? Ok lol I am just begging to see Doug Aldrich the God of guitar.

I'm glad you went with your instinct Glen I am sure it will be great.

Well...

Damn it, this is ProgPower USA. I didn't get here by playing it safe. I got here with my gut and taking chances. Yes, I could fall on my ass this year, but life goes on. The main thing is that I'm happy with the sudden turn of events over the past 24 hrs. There will be plenty of bitching like there is every year once I go public, but life goes on. This year's roster is the most unconventional and controversial yet. Fuck it. Let's stick with that theme.

I chose D. See you here on Monday if all goes as anticipated.

Glenn H.

Don't shoot me, but I am kinda glad that the Nevermore spot opened up... It will be very interesting to see *who* Glenn picks as the new Saturday headliner. As a matter of fact, I think Glenn always has a backup plan for these type of things... Right?? I know he will do the usual great job he always does with ProgPower, and throw us yet another curve that will just have people scratching their heads...

At this point I'd go just to support Glenn and future ProgPowers, out of principle, even if I hate the new band, because there's already bands on the lineup I like.

I have to say this is the ONLY Monday I've EVER looked forward to. Whoever you choose I'll be there. :headbang:

ROCK ON!!!! :headbang:
Yeah I'm looking forward to this Monday too! I'll be @ PP reguardless of who it is, as well. I think that's true w/ most of us anyways. So being that he has the saftey net of having a sold out show again, based on loyalty and the lineup thus far, I hope that Glenn really decided to go out in left field with this one! I couldn't imagine that he'd pick a band so bad that it would be a "Monday morning apocalypse"! :loco: I know. I know. That was cheesy, but I saw an opening and took it! :D

I was out of town for the past 3 days, with limited internet access, and when I read about the choices, I wouldn't have picked any of them.
I'd have just asked you to use your best judgement, seriously....

I'll be looking forward to Monday, and I'll be sure to have my bitching shoes on, just in case...:D

I trust you will pick a monster band for the headliner. If I were to pick it would have been Vanden Plas, but tht would have been closer to "A" I suppose. You did the right thing here. Your gut feelings have been reaping profits for three years....

N. America release date and tour are being worked on.
Bare with us, we'll get there eventually! - DF

So, maybe Dragonforce is touring the states this fall.

As for the headliner, I really have no clue. Someone like Ensiferum would be pretty cool, but I don't know if they are the type of band to play PPUSA or if they're big enough to be a headliner. Oh well, I can dream.

HOLY CRAP, If ENSIFERUM headlined, I'd Shit my pants for the next month straight
