Hello!!

I need a dual channel preamp to record guitars (dual sm57) and vocals (T Bone SCT800 tube mic).

I considered recording the guitars to the preamps on the Focusrite Octopre LE, but the guitar player would like it to be in different (and better) preamps. So, It's him whos gonna spend the money in pre's so, what would you suggest?

We've considered these three options (he will spend up to 800€ on it).

This time I've searched before, but it seems all the info is about the single-channel preamps :(

If you have any other pre to suggest, I'm open!! :D

Thanks!!!

Whatever you get, can you do a pre shootout? We'd lovez you if you did :D

I really want to hear the difference between interface pre's and something like the RNP.

but you could buy both preamps and it costs the same than the rnp

maybe a little late...
cheaper but I love it

vc6q-british channel

check my band We recorded the whole guitars at the album with this one + vc3

vc6q works great on tube mics too, not so much harshhhh

Che los temas q estan ahora en el myspace los grabaron a traves del joemeek? la voz tambien? Estoy esperando me llegue un joemeek oneq q encargue, no es el mismo pero deberia sonar similar calculo

Save your money and invest it later on when you saved up money for Top of the line preamps. Octopre LE is a really good preamp, and if you are gonna hear any difference you need to go API-ish.
