It's a site with a huge index of reviews and band info. It's down a lot though.

t aren't actually in existance? For example, a metal encyclopedia helping people discover more bands that are similar to ones they already like

for this I found something interesting:
http://www.music-map.de/ name a band and it creates a map with similiar ones(but sometimes strange bands apear which doesnt fit with the originband)

review of good music in general, not only metal
(not pop or rap, but good alternative and indie stuff)
