Yeah, it's good, I like it. The NM cover version is way better though. WD really went for it (the man has a talent for covers), but this is a little boring.
 
I think Warrel does such a great job because the song becomes a Nevermore song, not a cover. I almost don't even consider Nevermore's version a cover of it.
 
No matter if it's been Sanctuary, Nevermore or Warrel solo - their covers are among the few out there that actually matter and aren't redundant. And yes, the word "cover" really falls short here. I think "reinterpretation" is much more fitting...

Many wouldn't even recognise Nevermore's "SOS" as what it is and so does "Patterns" easily blend in with the original material on Warrel's solo album. That's how you do it, take a song and make it your own.
